AMSOIL 0W-20 Synthetic-Blend Motor Oil delivers a meaningful step up from conventional oil for everyday drivers who want better protection without the cost of a full synthetic. Built with greater than 50% synthetic content, it handles the demands of modern engines equipped with turbochargers and direct injection.

Today's 0W-20 engines run tighter tolerances and hotter operating temperatures than their predecessors. Turbocharged and direct-injected powertrains found in Honda Civics, Toyota Camrys, Ford Escapes, Chevy Equinoxes, and similar vehicles place heavy thermal and mechanical stress on motor oil. A standard conventional 0W-20 can break down faster under those conditions, leading to sludge buildup, increased oil consumption, and accelerated wear during cold starts.

ALL-TEMPERATURE PROTECTION
Cold mornings are hard on engines. Oil that thickens excessively at low temperatures starves critical components of lubrication during the first few seconds of startup, which is when most engine wear occurs. AMSOIL 0W-20 Synthetic-Blend Motor Oil posts a cold-crank simulator viscosity below 6,200 cP at -35°C (ASTM D5293) and a pour point of -46°C (-51°F), keeping it fluid enough to circulate quickly in sub-zero conditions. On the hot side, it maintains a high-temperature/high-shear viscosity greater than 2.6 cP at 150°C (ASTM D5481), which means the oil film holds up under the intense heat and pressure inside turbocharger bearings and around piston rings.

KEEPS ENGINES CLEAN
Sludge and carbon deposits rob engines of efficiency and shorten their service life. Direct-injection engines are particularly susceptible to intake valve deposits and combustion chamber buildup. AMSOIL Synthetic-Blend Motor Oil uses a high dose of detergent and dispersant additives combined with its boosted synthetic base oil content to resist deposit formation and suspend contaminants so they can be captured by the oil filter. A Total Base Number greater than 6 (ASTM D2896) provides solid acid-neutralizing reserve to combat the corrosive byproducts of combustion over the full drain interval.

HELPS REDUCE OIL CONSUMPTION
Volatile motor oil evaporates more readily at high temperatures, burning off through the PCV system and past piston rings. That leads to the familiar problem of checking the dipstick halfway through an oil change interval and finding the level noticeably low. AMSOIL 0W-20 Synthetic-Blend limits NOACK volatility to less than 12.5% weight loss (ASTM D5800), helping keep more oil in the crankcase where it belongs. Less volatility also means fewer deposit-forming vapors recirculated into the intake.

BROAD OEM COMPATIBILITY
This oil carries API SP (Resource Conserving) and ILSAC GF-6A licensing, meeting the latest gasoline engine oil performance standards. It also satisfies GM dexos1 Gen 3, Chrysler MS-6395, and Ford WSS-M2C962-A1 requirements. That covers a wide range of late-model vehicles from domestic and Asian manufacturers that specify a 0W-20 viscosity, including many Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, GM, and Ford models.

SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL Synthetic-Blend Motor Oil is recommended for the oil change intervals stated by the vehicle manufacturer or as indicated by the vehicle's oil-life monitoring system. Change the oil filter at every oil change.

COMPATIBILITY
This product is compatible with other synthetic, synthetic-blend, and conventional motor oils. Mixing other oils will reduce the performance benefits and life expectancy of the AMSOIL product. Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended.
