Hydraulic systems on log splitters, dump trailers, skid steers, snow plows and industrial presses face a brutal combination of challenges. AMSOIL AW Series Oil uses a zinc-based anti-wear and antioxidant additive package that controls wear across all three pump types. ULTRA-HIGH VISCOSITY INDEX FOR ALL-SEASON USE
Viscosity index measures how stable a fluid's viscosity remains across a temperature range. AMSOIL ISO 32 AW Hydraulic Oil posts a viscosity index of 200 per ASTM D2270, far above the typical 90-110 range of conventional ISO 32 hydraulic fluids. At 100°C, it maintains 5.3 cSt (ASTM D445), providing a protective lubricating film even at elevated operating temperatures. At 40°C, it delivers 23.1 cSt. This ultra-high VI means you get proper flow in bitter cold and adequate film strength in summer heat from a single fluid, eliminating the need for seasonal oil changes on mobile equipment.

WATER SEPARATION AND CORROSION RESISTANCE
Water contamination is a constant threat in hydraulic systems, especially mobile equipment exposed to condensation and weather. AMSOIL AW Series Oil separates readily from water per ASTM D1401 demulsibility testing, achieving full 40/40/0 separation in 10 minutes. This prevents oil-water emulsions that degrade lubrication and accelerate corrosion. The oil also passes ASTM D665 A and B rust testing in both fresh water and synthetic sea water, protecting ferrous components from surface corrosion. Foam resistance is equally strong, with 0/0 results across all three sequences of ASTM D892 testing.

SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY
AMSOIL ISO 32 Synthetic AW Hydraulic Oil is recommended where the following specifications are called for: Denison HF-0, HF-1 and HF-2; Vickers M-2950-S and I-286-S; Cincinnati Milacron P-68; U.S. Steel 127 and 136; Racine variable volume vane pumps; DIN 51524 Part 2; AFNOR E 48-603; Ford M6C-32; GM LH-04-1, LH-06-1 and LH-15-1; Lee Norse 100-1; Jeffrey No. 87; BF Goodrich 0152; and Commercial Hydraulics. It is not compatible with phosphate ester, silicone or water-based fluids. The oil is compatible with standard hydraulic system seals, petroleum hydraulic oils and most other synthetic hydraulic oils.

SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL AW Series Oils are designed for extended drain intervals beyond conventional hydraulic fluid capabilities. Oil analysis is recommended to maximize drain intervals and verify fluid condition. For optimum performance, thoroughly drain the system and clean it if warranted before installation.
