AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lubricant Corrosion Inhibitor delivers targeted lubrication to the parts of your engine that motor oil barely reaches, while fighting the corrosion and deposit buildup that today's ethanol-blended fuels leave behind. It is a simple, every-fill-up additive designed for gasoline-powered cars and trucks that need protection beyond what pump gas alone provides.

The area above the top piston ring is one of the harshest environments inside your engine. The oil-control ring does its job keeping oil in the crankcase, but that means the upper cylinder walls, piston rings, and fuel injectors operate with minimal lubrication under extreme heat. Add ethanol-blended gasoline to the equation, and you are also dealing with moisture attraction and accelerated corrosion of metal fuel-system components. The top of each cylinder sees intense combustion temperatures with very little oil film to protect it. AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lubricant introduces lubricity improvers directly into the fuel stream, coating piston rings, cylinder walls, and fuel injector internals with a protective layer that reduces metal-to-metal contact. In modified ASTM D6079 lubricity testing, AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lubricant produced an average wear scar of just 640 µm, compared to 786 µm for Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant and 803 µm for Sea Foam Motor Treatment. That translates to 18 percent more lubricity than Lucas and 20 percent more than Sea Foam, directly contributing to better retention of compression, horsepower, and fuel economy.

FIGHTS ETHANOL-RELATED CORROSION
Most gasoline sold today contains ethanol, typically E10, which attracts and holds moisture. That moisture accelerates corrosion throughout the fuel system, from the tank and fuel lines to the injectors and upper cylinder surfaces. AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lubricant uses potent corrosion inhibitors that coat metal surfaces and block moisture from initiating oxidation. This is especially valuable for vehicles that sit between drives, where condensation inside the fuel system has time to do real damage. Trucks, seasonal vehicles, and daily drivers running E10 or E85 all benefit from consistent corrosion protection at every fill-up.

HELPS MAINTAIN INJECTOR CLEANLINESS
Fuel injector deposits restrict spray patterns, reduce fuel atomization, and rob your engine of power and efficiency. AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lubricant contains detergent additives formulated to maintain injector and combustion chamber cleanliness on an ongoing basis. It is designed to work as a maintenance additive between treatments of AMSOIL P.i. Performance Improver, which targets and removes existing stubborn deposits. Using Upper Cylinder Lubricant with every tank keeps injectors functioning properly and preserves the performance gains achieved after a P.i. treatment.

CAPLESS FUEL SYSTEM COMPATIBLE
Many newer cars and trucks from Ford, GM, Chrysler, and other manufacturers have switched to capless fuel filler necks. Standard additive bottles with threaded caps often cannot open the internal flap or get stuck inside the fuel neck. The AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lubricant bottle is specifically designed to work with capless systems. It inserts smoothly, pours cleanly, and removes without hassle.

COMPATIBILITY AND USAGE
AMSOIL Upper Cylinder Lubricant is safe for use with catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, oxygenated gasoline, and E85 fuel. It is formulated for gasoline engines only and should not be used in two-stroke or diesel applications. One 6 oz. bottle treats up to 25 gallons of fuel. For larger tanks, use two bottles. Do not exceed two bottles per fill-up.

RECOMMENDED USE
For best results, add one full bottle to your fuel tank at every fill-up. Add the product before filling the tank so it mixes thoroughly with the incoming fuel. Do not refill the tank until it is nearly empty to get the full benefit of each treated tank.
