Gasoline was never designed to sit. In a triple-length gasoline oxidation stability test (ASTM D525), AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer maintained fuel stability for 4,320 minutes compared to just 536 minutes for Sea Foam Motor Treatment. That is eight times longer protection against oxidation, the chemical process responsible for turning good fuel into varnish and gum. This test used fuel containing no oxidation-stability-improving additives, so the results reflect the stabilizer's own performance. For motorcycles parked all winter, boats sitting from fall through spring, or classic cars stored for months, that margin matters when you turn the key.

Ethanol-blended fuel is corrosive, especially when it sits. Moisture gets pulled in, phase separation occurs, and bare metal surfaces inside the tank and fuel system start corroding. AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer provides corrosion protection that Sea Foam Motor Treatment cannot match, as demonstrated in a modified NACE TM0172 test using synthetic sea water per ASTM D665B. Independent third-party testing showed AMSOIL keeping metal corrosion-free even under salt water exposure. This is particularly relevant for outboard motors, personal watercraft, and any equipment stored in humid or coastal environments.

DOSAGE AND USE
One ounce of AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer treats 2.5 gallons of fuel. Before storing equipment, add the appropriate dose to the fuel tank, then let the engine run for five to 10 minutes to circulate the treated fuel through the entire fuel system. Shut the engine off and store the equipment in a dry, covered location. The 16-ounce bottle treats up to 40 gallons of gasoline.
