AMSOIL P.I.® PERFORMANCE IMPROVER GASOLINE ADDITIVE

AMSOIL P.i. Performance Improver Gasoline Additive is a concentrated fuel system cleaner that strips away stubborn carbon deposits from injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers in a single tank of gas. It restores lost horsepower, improves fuel economy, and eliminates the knock and rough idle that come with deposit buildup in gasoline engines.

Every gasoline engine accumulates deposits over time. Carbon builds up on fuel injectors, intake valves, and combustion chamber surfaces, and the effects compound with mileage. GDI engines are especially vulnerable because their injectors sit directly inside the combustion chamber, exposed to extreme heat and pressure. Direct injection typically produces 30 to 40 times more soot than port fuel injection. The result is reduced power, degraded fuel economy, rough idle, hard starts, and pre-ignition knock that forces your engine's knock sensors to retard timing, quietly stealing performance even when you can't hear the knock itself.

RESTORES UP TO 14% HORSEPOWER
Third-party testing on a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a 5.3L V-8 GDI engine and 100,616 miles showed a 14% improvement in horsepower after a single tank of fuel treated with P.i. The engine was disassembled, photographed, and inspected before and after treatment. The before-and-after images of injectors and cylinder heads showed significant deposit removal. That kind of power loss happens gradually, so most drivers never realize how much performance they've given up until it comes back.

RESTORES GDI FUEL INJECTORS TO 100% FLOW RATE
Even minor injector fouling reduces spray pattern precision, which degrades combustion efficiency, increases emissions, and costs you power and fuel economy. AMSOIL P.i. restored GDI fuel injectors to a 100% flow rate after just one tank of treated fuel in ASTM D5598(M) testing using a 2013 Buick Regal test vehicle. This makes P.i. a practical fuel injector cleaner for GDI engines in vehicles like the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Ford F-150 EcoBoost, Toyota Tacoma, Honda Civic, and any other gasoline-powered car or truck running port or direct injection.

CLEANS COMBUSTION CHAMBER DEPOSITS
Carbon deposits in the combustion chamber increase compression ratio and absorb heat during combustion, then release that stored heat during the intake stroke. This raises the likelihood of pre-ignition knock, where the air/fuel mixture ignites before the spark plug fires. Most modern engines compensate by retarding spark timing, which prevents audible knock but reduces power output. P.i. aggressively cleans these combustion chamber deposits, helping restore proper compression, control knock, and reduce the need for costlier higher-octane fuel. It also reduces the possibility of "carbon rap," a condition where deposit buildup is severe enough that the piston physically contacts the cylinder head.

FIGHTS INTAKE VALVE DEPOSITS
Valve deposits alter or restrict airflow patterns in the cylinder and disrupt the balanced air/fuel ratio by absorbing and releasing fuel at the wrong time. They can also cause valve sticking by interfering with the valve stem and guide, which leads to compression loss, misfires, and potential valve failure. P.i. helps keep intake valves clean and moving freely, maintaining proper airflow and sealing.

CAPLESS-COMPATIBLE BOTTLE DESIGN
Many newer vehicles from Ford, GM, Chrysler, and others have replaced traditional screw-on fuel caps with capless fuel filler systems. Most additive bottles cannot open the internal flap or are difficult to remove once inserted. The P.i. bottle is specifically designed to be fully compatible with capless fuel systems, so you can pour and remove it without any hassle.

COMPATIBILITY AND USE
P.i. is safe for use with catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, oxygenated gasoline, and E85 fuel. It is effective in both port fuel injection and gasoline direct injection systems. One 12 oz. bottle treats up to 30 gallons of gasoline. For tanks larger than 30 gallons, use two bottles. Do not exceed two bottles per treatment. Do not use with diesel or two-stroke engines. Add the entire bottle to the tank at fill-up.

SERVICE INTERVAL
For best results, treat your fuel system with P.i. every 4,000 miles to maintain clean injectors, valves, and combustion chambers and prevent deposit-related performance loss from returning.
