AMSOIL QUICKSHOT® GASOLINE TREATMENT AND STABILIZER

AMSOIL Quickshot® Gasoline Treatment and Stabilizer is a purpose-built fuel additive that cleans gummed-up carburetors and injectors, fights ethanol-related fuel problems, and stabilizes gasoline during storage. It is formulated specifically for small engines and powersports equipment where degraded fuel causes the most damage.

Gasoline sitting in a snowmobile, chainsaw, or ATV for even a few weeks starts to break down. Ethanol in pump gas absorbs moisture from the air, separates from the fuel, and sinks to the bottom of the tank as a corrosive ethanol-water mixture. That mixture creates gum, varnish, and insoluble debris that clogs fuel-flow passages and starves engines of clean fuel. When it does get pulled into the combustion chamber, it creates a lean-burn condition that drives up temperatures and risks real engine damage. These problems get worse as ethanol content in pump gasoline continues to increase.

CLEANS FUEL SYSTEMS AND RESTORES THROTTLE RESPONSE
Every gallon of gasoline sold in the U.S. contains a lowest additive concentration (LAC) of detergents, but that baseline is not enough to prevent deposits from forming on carburetors, fuel injectors, fuel filters, piston tops, and spark plugs. Quickshot uses a unique chemistry that quickly detaches and carries away these deposits rather than just slowing their formation. In testing with fuel containing 10% ethanol, controlled plugging of injectors showed a 70% flow improvement after treatment. Carbon buildup on pistons and combustion-chamber surfaces is also cleaned, helping reduce pre-ignition, rough idling, and poor throttle response.

ADDRESSES ETHANOL-RELATED PERFORMANCE ISSUES
Phase separation is the core problem with ethanol-blended gasoline in small engines and seasonal equipment. Once ethanol absorbs enough water, it drops out of solution and pools at the bottom of the fuel tank. Quickshot is designed to keep water dispersed in tiny molecules throughout the fuel, moving it out safely through the combustion chamber as a normal part of engine operation. This decreases the chance of ethanol separating from the gasoline and helps prevent the lean-burn conditions and combustion-chamber damage that follow. In oxidation stability testing, Quickshot improved results by 22% over untreated E10 fuel.

PREVENTS CORROSION AND GUM FORMATION IN STORAGE
Water finds its way into fuel tanks through gas pumps, humidity, and temperature swings that cause condensation. Left untreated, it causes hard starting, performance loss, and corrosion on internal fuel-system components. Quickshot disperses water molecules throughout the fuel so they pass through the engine harmlessly instead of pooling and causing damage. It also protects against gum and varnish formation in tanks and fuel systems during short-term storage, which makes it well suited for seasonal equipment like snowblowers, generators, lawn mowers, and boats that sit idle between uses.

SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY
Quickshot is safe for use in all two-stroke and four-stroke gasoline-powered engines. Compatible applications include motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats, personal watercraft, ATVs, UTVs, edgers, tillers, mowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, generators, golf carts, and farm and construction equipment. For larger engines and passenger vehicles, AMSOIL recommends P.i. Performance Improver instead.

TREATMENT RATIOS
For initial cleanup, use one 8 oz. bottle per 6 gallons of gasoline. For ongoing maintenance and continued protection, use one 8 oz. bottle per 12 gallons. Slight over-treatment has no negative consequences. For best results, use with every fill-up to keep fuel systems clean and prevent ethanol-related problems from returning.
