Powershift transmissions in dozers, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, and mining equipment operate under punishing conditions. Sustained high torque, extreme temperature swings, and constant clutch engagement all conspire to break down conventional fluids quickly. AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid meets the wear and frictional requirements of the Caterpillar TO-4 specification and resists viscosity breakdown over extended service intervals. A fluid that shears out of grade leaves gears and bearings vulnerable. This formulation stays at its intended SAE 30 viscosity, maintaining a kinematic viscosity of 11.0 cSt at 100°C and 75.0 cSt at 40°C as measured by ASTM D445, with a viscosity index of 136.

PROTECTS ACROSS WIDE TEMPERATURE EXTREMES
Heavy equipment often sits idle overnight in freezing conditions, then runs at full load in extreme heat the same day. AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid has a pour point of -43°C (-45°F), flowing readily at cold startup to protect components before the system reaches operating temperature. At high temperatures, its superior oxidative and thermal stability inhibits the formation of varnish, sludge, and deposits. The flash point of 228°C (443°F) reflects the thermal resilience of the synthetic base oil. The fluid also functions as a heat-transfer medium, helping cool hot-running transmissions and brakes.

SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY
AMSOIL SAE 30 Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid is recommended for applications requiring the following specifications: Allison C-4, Caterpillar TO-4, Komatsu KES 07.868.1, and ZF TE-ML 03C. It is suitable for use in Caterpillar, Allison, Komatsu, Clark, Hurth, Borg-Warner, Twin Disc, Voith, ZF, Funk, and Brockhouse powershift-type transmissions, as well as Eaton/Rockwell/Fuller transmissions. It is fully compatible with other TO-4 fluids used in powershift applications. To install, drain the existing fluid, replace the filter if equipped, and fill with AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid.

SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid provides extended service life beyond conventional petroleum fluids when kept free of dirt and moisture. In CD-50 manual transmission applications, it may be used up to 60,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. For other applications, follow OEM recommendations. Oil analysis is recommended when extending drain intervals beyond manufacturer guidelines.
