AMSOIL SAE 10W 100% Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid delivers specialized friction performance and wear protection for heavy-duty powershift transmissions, wet brakes and final drives operating under sustained high-torque loads. Built from synthetic base oils with a heavy additive package tailored specifically for powershift applications, it outperforms conventional petroleum fluids in temperature stability, clutch engagement quality and component cleanliness.

Powershift transmissions in dozers, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders and mining equipment face a unique combination of demands. The transmission fluid has to manage clutch friction, lubricate gears and bearings, operate wet brakes and function as a hydraulic fluid, all at the same time. Conventional fluids break down under this multi-role workload, losing viscosity and friction properties well before the next scheduled drain. Shear stability is critical in powershift applications where fluid is constantly cycled through gears, clutch packs and hydraulic circuits under heavy mechanical stress. A fluid that shears out of grade can no longer maintain the film strength needed to protect bearings and gear teeth. AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid meets the wear and frictional requirements of the Caterpillar TO-4 specification and maintains its viscosity grade throughout the entire drain interval, even in equipment that operates under sustained high-torque conditions day after day. In ASTM D4172B Four-Ball Wear testing at 40 kg, 75°C, 1200 rpm for one hour, the SAE 10W formulation produced a wear scar of just 0.35 mm.

SUPERIOR HIGH- AND LOW-TEMPERATURE PERFORMANCE
High operating temperatures accelerate oxidation, which produces varnish, sludge and deposits that foul hydraulic valves and clog filters. The SAE 10W grade has a flash point of 248°C (478°F) and a pour point of -48°C (-54°F), giving it an extremely wide operating range. CORROSION, RUST AND FOAM PROTECTION

SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY
AMSOIL SAE 10W Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid is recommended for applications requiring the following specifications: Caterpillar TO-4, Komatsu KES 07.868.1 and ZF TE-ML 03C. It is fully compatible with other TO-4 fluids, making conversion straightforward. To install, drain the existing fluid, replace the filter if equipped, and fill with AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid. Use in Caterpillar, Allison, Komatsu, Clark, Hurth, Borg-Warner, Twin Disc, Voith, ZF, Funk and Brockhouse powershift-type transmissions.

SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid provides extended service life beyond conventional petroleum fluids when kept free of dirt and moisture. In CD-50 manual transmission applications, it may be used up to 60,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. Oil analysis is recommended when extending service intervals beyond equipment manufacturer recommendations.
