AMSOIL GM 6.6L DUAL-REMOTE BYPASS SYSTEM

Diesel engines, especially the Duramax 6.6L, generate enormous amounts of soot and fine particulate contamination as part of normal combustion. The factory full-flow filter catches the larger particles, but the ultra-fine contaminants, the ones that actually accelerate bearing wear, cylinder wall scoring, and oil degradation, pass right through. Over tens of thousands of miles of towing, hauling, or daily driving, those particles accumulate and silently eat away at engine internals. That is the problem this system was built to solve.

SUPERIOR SMALL-PARTICLE FILTRATION, INCLUDING SOOT REMOVAL
The AMSOIL Ea Bypass Filter works alongside your full-flow filter on a partial-flow basis, drawing approximately 10 percent of the oil pump's capacity at any given time. Instead of trying to filter all the oil at once and compromising on particle size, it takes a smaller stream and filters it to a much finer level, trapping the extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow filters simply cannot catch. Over the course of normal operation, the bypass filter processes all the oil in the system several times per hour. The result is that your Duramax continuously circulates analytically clean oil through every bearing surface, turbo journal, and oil passage.

INCREASED FILTRATION CAPACITY AND EXTENDED SERVICE LIFE
The dual-remote mount pairs a full-flow AMSOIL EaO26 filter with a dedicated bypass element, giving you significantly more total filtration media working at the same time. The bypass filter elements offer long service intervals that vary by element size. The EaBP90 is rated for up to 60,000 miles or 600 hours. The EaBP100, included with the initial purchase, covers up to 70,000 miles or 800 hours. The EaBP110 extends that to 80,000 miles or 1,200 hours. All three elements carry a maximum service life of 2 years regardless of mileage or hours. For Duramax owners running extended drain intervals with AMSOIL synthetic diesel oil, this bypass system provides the filtration backbone to support those intervals with confidence.

ENGINE CLEANLINESS AND LONGEVITY FOR HIGH-MILEAGE DURAMAX TRUCKS
Keeping contaminants out of the oil means keeping them off of internal engine surfaces. Over time, this translates to cleaner valve trains, cleaner piston ring lands, and reduced sludge and varnish formation throughout the engine. Owners who tow fifth wheels, pull trailers, or put heavy miles on their LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, LML, or L5P Duramax engines will see the most benefit. The system also adds approximately two quarts of oil capacity, which provides a modest improvement in overall oil cooling and dilution of contaminants.

REDUCED LONG-TERM MAINTENANCE COSTS
By keeping oil cleaner for longer and reducing the rate of internal wear, the dual-remote bypass system helps lower the total cost of maintaining a high-mileage Duramax. Fewer contaminant-related wear events mean fewer premature component replacements. Combined with AMSOIL's extended-drain synthetic diesel oils, the system allows owners to stretch service intervals while maintaining oil quality that meets or exceeds the protection of shorter, conventional drain schedules.

PURPOSE-BUILT FOR THE GM 6.6L DURAMAX PLATFORM
This is not a universal bypass kit adapted with generic fittings. The BMK27 system includes a vehicle-specific spin-on adapter (BP420), thread adapter (BP405), and all hoses, fittings, brackets, and mounting hardware needed for a clean installation on 2001 to 2019 GM 6.6L Duramax diesel trucks, including Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, Silverado 3500HD, GMC Sierra 2500HD, and Sierra 3500HD models. The filter mount assembly is designed to be positioned within four feet of the factory filter location and includes a drilling template for precise bracket placement. An optional oil sampling petcock (BK13, sold separately) can be added to the mount for convenient oil analysis sampling without contamination.

COMPATIBILITY AND FILTERS
The system ships with one AMSOIL EaO26 full-flow oil filter and one EaBP100 bypass oil filter. Replacement bypass elements are available in three sizes: EaBP90, EaBP100, and EaBP110, each with different mileage, hour, and time ratings to match your operating conditions and service schedule. All hoses and fittings included in the kit are matched for maximum performance and service life. AMSOIL does not recommend interchanging with other hose types or brands.

SERVICE LIFE

Fittings and hoses should be inspected annually for leaks, deterioration, or damage. Do not exceed the listed service limits for any bypass filter element.
