AMSOIL FORD 6.0/6.4L SINGLE-REMOTE BYPASS SYSTEM

The 6.0L and 6.4L Powerstroke engines are known for high soot loads, tight oil passage tolerances, and sensitivity to contamination. Soot and sub-micron wear particles circulate freely past conventional full-flow filters, accumulating in oil galleries and accelerating wear on bearings, injectors, and turbo components. In a platform where oil quality directly impacts reliability, the factory filtration setup leaves a measurable gap.

REMOVES THE CONTAMINANTS YOUR FULL-FLOW FILTER MISSES
Full-flow oil filters are designed to pass high volumes of oil at low restriction. That means they can only catch particles down to a certain size before flow would be compromised. The AMSOIL Ea Bypass Filter works differently. It draws approximately 10 percent of the oil pump's capacity at any given time and targets the extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow filters cannot remove, including soot. Over the course of normal operation, it filters all the oil in the system several times per hour.

ENGINEERED SPECIFICALLY FOR 2004-2010 FORD POWERSTROKE DIESSELS
This is not a universal bypass kit adapted with generic fittings. The BMK31 system includes a custom aluminum oil filter cap (BK1101) and aluminum oil fill cap (BK1102) machined specifically for the 6.0L and 6.4L Powerstroke engine. The hose and JIC fittings are matched to provide maximum performance and longevity. The result is a clean, integrated installation that does not require drilling into the block or tapping oil galleries. Note that this system does not fit Ford E-series engine installations or applications found in larger trucks and buses.

EXTENDED FILTER SERVICE LIFE WITH MULTIPLE ELEMENT OPTIONS
The system accepts three Ea Bypass Filter elements, each offering different service intervals depending on your operating conditions. The EaBP90 is rated for 60,000 miles or 600 hours. The EaBP100 extends that to 70,000 miles or 800 hours. The EaBP110 pushes service life to 80,000 miles or 1,200 hours. All three carry a maximum time limit of 2 years. This flexibility lets you match the filter element to your duty cycle, whether you are running short daily commutes or long-haul highway miles towing heavy loads.

REDUCES LONG-TERM MAINTENANCE COSTS
Keeping sub-micron contaminants and soot out of your oil means less abrasive wear on critical engine components. For 6.0L Powerstroke owners in particular, where injector stiction and oil-related failures are a persistent concern, running analytically clean oil is one of the most effective preventive measures available. The cost of a bypass filtration system is a fraction of what a single injector or turbo replacement runs on these trucks.

CLEAN OIL SAMPLING MADE SIMPLE
An optional petcock valve kit (BP67, sold separately) can be installed directly into the bypass system. This gives you an easy, uncontaminated access point for pulling oil samples without removing drain plugs or fumbling with extraction pumps. Regular oil analysis paired with bypass filtration gives you a complete picture of engine health and lets you confidently extend drain intervals when the oil supports it.

COMPATIBILITY AND INSTALLATION NOTES
The BMK31 system fits 2004-2010 Ford 6.0L and 6.4L Powerstroke diesel engines in pickup truck applications. It does not fit E-series vans or larger truck and bus platforms. AMSOIL recommends performing a full oil and filter change at the time of installation. The full-flow cartridge filter for the engine must be purchased separately. All hose, fittings, mounting hardware, thread sealant, and a mounting template are included. If additional hose is needed, AMSOIL part number BP251 can be ordered by the foot.
