AMSOIL Passenger Car & Light Truck Antifreeze & Coolant delivers long-life cooling system protection for virtually any domestic or import car and light truck on the road. Its poly-organic acid (OAT) formulation provides up to 150,000 miles or 5 years of corrosion, freeze and boil-over protection in a single, ready-to-use 50/50 pre-mix.

Cooling systems take constant abuse. Heat cycles, mixed metals, tap water top-offs and aging coolant all conspire to corrode radiators, eat through water pumps and deposit scale that chokes heat transfer. Most conventional coolants rely on silicates, phosphates and other inorganic additives that deplete quickly and leave mineral deposits behind. Replacing them with a purpose-built OAT coolant engineered for modern multi-metal engines is the most effective way to prevent those problems from starting.

NEAR-ZERO CORROSION ON ALL COOLING SYSTEM METALS
Modern engines combine aluminum cylinder heads, cast-iron blocks, copper heater cores, brass fittings and solder joints in a single cooling circuit. Each metal reacts differently to coolant chemistry, and protecting one at the expense of another leads to premature failure. In third-party ASTM D2570 corrosion testing, cast-iron and copper plates protected by AMSOIL showed virtually no signs of corrosion. That level of multi-metal protection is critical in vehicles like the Ford F-150 with its mixed aluminum and steel construction, GM trucks with cast-iron blocks and aluminum heads, or Toyota Tacomas and Honda CR-Vs with all-aluminum engines.

SCALE-FREE COOLING FOR BETTER HEAT TRANSFER
Phosphates, silicates, borates and amines found in conventional coolants are responsible for nearly all scaling issues in automotive cooling systems. Scale acts as an insulator, reducing heat transfer and forcing the engine to run hotter. AMSOIL Passenger Car & Light Truck Antifreeze & Coolant is completely free of phosphates, nitrates, nitrites, silicates, borates and amines. This formulation virtually eliminates scaling problems, keeping coolant passages clean and maintaining efficient heat transfer over the full service life of the product. Vehicles with tight-tolerance turbo coolant circuits, like the VW 2.0T, Subaru FA20DIT or Ford EcoBoost engines, benefit directly from scale-free coolant flow.

BOIL-OVER AND FREEZE PROTECTION IN EXTREME CONDITIONS
The 50/50 ethylene glycol pre-mix provides freeze protection down to -34°F (-37°C) and boil-over protection up to 265°F (129°C) with a standard 15 psi radiator cap. That range covers everything from sub-zero cold starts in Minnesota to sustained high-temperature driving in desert heat. Because it arrives pre-mixed with high-purity water, there is no guesswork on concentration and no risk of introducing hard-water minerals that promote scale and deposits.

UNIVERSAL COLOR COMPATIBILITY
One of the biggest headaches with coolant is figuring out which color goes with which vehicle. AMSOIL Passenger Car & Light Truck Antifreeze & Coolant is compatible with all other antifreeze and coolant colors, as well as all plastics and elastomers found in cooling systems, including hoses and gaskets. It is formulated for use in all domestic and import passenger cars and light trucks, from Chrysler MS 12106 and GM 6277M applications to VW TL 774D, Ford WSS-M97B44-D and JIS K2234 requirements. That makes it a practical single-product solution for households or shops servicing multiple vehicle brands.

It is compatible with all ethylene and propylene glycol antifreeze formulations. If mixing with propylene glycol is unavoidable for a top-off, AMSOIL recommends flushing the system at the next convenient opportunity to maintain accurate freeze-point prediction.

Service Life
Protection up to 150,000 miles (241,000 km) or 5 years, whichever comes first, in passenger cars and light trucks. Do not add water. Check and maintain coolant level at every oil-change interval and consult the owner's manual for additional maintenance guidelines.
