AMSOIL DIESEL RECOVERY FUEL TREATMENT

AMSOIL Diesel Recovery Fuel Treatment is an emergency diesel fuel additive that quickly dissolves gelled fuel and thaws frozen fuel filters, getting you back on the road without a tow truck or a roadside filter swap.

When temperatures drop, the wax naturally present in diesel fuel begins to crystallize. Once the fuel passes its cloud point, those wax crystals agglomerate and clog the fuel filter, starving the engine of fuel. The result is a no-start condition or, worse, a running engine that stalls out on the highway in subzero weather. Low-quality diesel can have a cloud point as high as 40°F, meaning gelling can happen at temperatures most people would not consider extreme.

QUICKLY DISSOLVES GELLED DIESEL FUEL
Diesel Recovery works by separating the molecular bonds of wax crystals that have formed in diesel fuel. Rather than waiting for the fuel system to slowly warm up or calling for a tow, one treatment re-liquefies gelled fuel and restores flow through the fuel system. One 30 oz. bottle treats up to 30 gallons of fuel. THAWS FROZEN FUEL FILTERS
A plugged fuel filter is usually the first symptom of gelled diesel. Diesel Recovery thaws frozen fuel filters in place, reducing the need to buy and install a replacement on the spot. For the fastest restoration of power, you can install a new filter and fill it with Diesel Recovery before reinstalling. But in a pinch, treating the existing filter and tank gets fuel flowing again without hunting down parts in bad weather.

ALCOHOL-FREE AND NON-CORROSIVE FORMULA
Many emergency fuel treatments rely on alcohol-based solvents that, over extended use, can degrade seals, gaskets, and other components in modern diesel fuel delivery systems. Diesel Recovery contains no alcohol and no chemicals that interact with fuel system components. This makes it safe for repeated treatments without risking damage to high-pressure common-rail fuel systems found in late-model diesel trucks and equipment. Corrosion from harsh chemical additives can also lead to premature fuel filter clogging, compounding the very problem you are trying to solve.

Application Steps
For maximum effectiveness when encountering a gelled fuel system:

1. Remove the existing fuel filter.
2. Fill the fuel filter with Diesel Recovery.
3. Reinstall the fuel filter.
4. Add remaining Diesel Recovery to the fuel tank. Add more as needed based on the treat rate of one 30 oz. bottle per 30 gallons.
5. Start the engine and allow the fuel system to circulate until full power is restored.

For quicker power restoration, install a new fuel filter filled with Diesel Recovery rather than reusing the existing one.

Preventive Maintenance Note
Diesel Recovery is designed as an emergency treatment for fuel that has already gelled. For preventive cold-weather protection before gelling occurs, AMSOIL recommends Diesel Cold Flow (ADD) or Diesel All-In-One (ADB), which lower the cold filter plugging point and pour point of diesel fuel before wax crystals have a chance to form.
