AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR® 100% SYNTHETIC 2-STROKE OIL

AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil is a purpose-built synthetic injection oil and premix designed to protect high-performance two-stroke snowmobile engines from the wear, deposits, and cold-weather challenges that come with aggressive riding. It delivers proven protection in Ski-Doo Rotax E-TEC engines, Polaris 850 Patriot engines, Arctic Cat C-TEC2 engines, and virtually every other two-stroke snowmobile powerplant on the market.

Modern two-stroke snowmobiles run leaner oil-to-fuel ratios than their predecessors. That means less oil reaches critical engine surfaces, and the oil that does arrive has to work harder under higher heat and friction loads. Riders who push their sleds hard in the mountains or spend long days at wide-open throttle need a 2-stroke oil that survives combustion long enough to actually protect the engine, not one that burns away and leaves carbon behind.

RESISTS BURN-OFF FOR REAL PISTON PROTECTION
INTERCEPTOR is formulated with high-molecular-weight synthetic base stocks that have high flash points, meaning more oil survives the combustion process to lubricate pistons, rings, and bearings. This is not a theoretical advantage. In a field trial using a 2019 Polaris RMK 850 as a rental sled in the Canadian Rockies, INTERCEPTOR kept pistons virtually carbon-free with nearly all factory coating intact after 1,617 miles of full-throttle mountain abuse. Excellent lubricity and film strength inhibit metal-to-metal contact where it matters most, at the piston skirt and cylinder wall interface.

PREVENTS EXHAUST POWER VALVE STICKING
Carbon buildup on exhaust power valves is one of the most common performance killers in two-stroke snowmobile engines. When valves stick, you lose power, throttle response suffers, and cleaning or replacing them becomes a recurring headache. INTERCEPTOR's thermally stable synthetic formulation naturally resists deposit formation. It is additionally fortified with high-temperature detergency and dispersancy additives that keep combustion chambers and exhaust valves clean. In the same Polaris RMK 850 rental sled field trial, INTERCEPTOR completely prevented exhaust power valve sticking across the entire season, keeping the valves clean and moving freely.

EXCEPTIONAL COLD-TEMPERATURE FLUIDITY
A pour point of -63°F (-53°C) means INTERCEPTOR flows immediately on cold starts, even in the extreme conditions snowmobilers face in northern climates. Fast oil flow at sub-zero temperatures protects pistons, bearings, and other critical components during the moments when engines are most vulnerable. The oil also passes the SAE J1536 Fluidity/Miscibility Grade 4 Arctic Climate test at 17,000 cP max at -40°C, confirming it flows and mixes properly with fuel in the coldest riding conditions.

LOW SMOKE, LOW ODOR, CLEAN BURNING
Nobody wants to ride in a cloud of oil smoke, and nobody behind you does either. INTERCEPTOR produces low smoke and odor compared to conventional two-stroke oils, a direct result of its synthetic base stock composition and clean-burning formulation. This also translates to reduced spark plug fouling, which means fewer trail-side plug changes and more consistent ignition performance in DFI, EFI, and carbureted engines alike.

SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY
INTERCEPTOR meets API TC and JASO FD specifications. Use it in all two-stroke snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, and PWCs where API TC or JASO FD oils are specified. Compatible applications include Polaris, BRP/Ski-Doo (Rotax E-TEC engines), Arctic Cat (C-TEC2 engines), Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki two-stroke engines. It works as injection oil or as a 50:1 premix (2.6 oz. per U.S. gallon of gas). INTERCEPTOR is compatible with most conventional and synthetic two-stroke oils, though minimizing mixing yields the best results.

AMSOIL backs INTERCEPTOR with the Runs on Freedom Limited Snowmobile Warranty. Use INTERCEPTOR exclusively in a current-model-year or newer sled and AMSOIL will cover engine repairs in the unlikely event of an engine breakdown for up to two years, 5,000 miles, or 8,000 km.
