AMSOIL DOMINATOR SAE 60 100% Synthetic Racing Oil delivers thick, shear-stable protection for high-performance racing engines that demand an SAE 60 viscosity oil. Built for the most punishing racing conditions, it combines a heavy zinc and phosphorus anti-wear package with proprietary friction modifiers to maximize horsepower without compromising engine protection.

Racing engines running SAE 60 oil are typically operating at extreme loads, high temperatures, and sustained RPM that push components to their absolute limits. Drag racing, top fuel, pro-stock tractor pull, and diesel racing applications generate enormous heat and mechanical stress that can shear lesser oils down to lower viscosity grades, leaving critical surfaces exposed. An oil that loses viscosity mid-run is an oil that fails when it matters most.

RESISTS VISCOSITY LOSS UNDER EXTREME MECHANICAL SHEAR
High-RPM racing engines subject oil to intense mechanical shearing forces that can permanently thin the lubricant film. With a kinematic viscosity of 25.0 cSt at 100°C and a high-temperature/high-shear (HTHS) viscosity of 7.7 cP at 150°C (ASTM D5481), this oil holds its ground where it counts. That HTHS number reflects the oil's actual protective capability under the heat and shear conditions found at bearing surfaces in a working engine.

HEAVILY FORTIFIED ANTI-WEAR CHEMISTRY
DOMINATOR SAE 60 is loaded with zinc and phosphorus anti-wear additives at levels well beyond what you find in passenger car motor oils. In Four-Ball Wear Testing (ASTM D4172, 40 kg load, 150°C, 1800 rpm, 1 hour), DOMINATOR SAE 60 produced a wear scar of just 0.38 mm, the lowest across the entire DOMINATOR lineup. This level of anti-wear protection directly addresses the scuffing and metal-to-metal contact risks that come with severe racing conditions, especially in high-compression and forced-induction setups common to drag racing, diesel racing, and tractor pull engines.

DOMINATOR is formulated with a proprietary friction modifier that reduces parasitic drag within the engine, translating to more usable horsepower and cooler engine operating temperatures. SAE 60 oils are typically associated with sluggish cold-temperature behavior, but DOMINATOR SAE 60 breaks that expectation. It posts a pour point of -38°C (-36°F) and a cold-cranking simulator viscosity of 5,610 cP at -15°C (ASTM D5293). For a racing oil this heavy, that means noticeably less drag during startup and warm-up, reducing the wear that accumulates before the engine reaches stable operating temperature. On the hot end, a flash point of 246°C (475°F) and fire point of 280°C (536°F) confirm the thermal stability needed to survive the intense heat generated in high-output racing engines. The viscosity index of 168 reflects a formulation that performs consistently across a wide temperature range rather than thinning out rapidly as heat climbs.

DOMINATOR Synthetic Racing Oil is compatible with leaded and unleaded gasoline, diesel, alcohol, nitromethane, and nitrous oxide. DOMINATOR is designed for racing use. When competing, the vehicle owner is responsible for determining an appropriate oil service interval based on the event, application, and viscosity needs. DOMINATOR is not intended for long-term use in passenger cars or light trucks.
