Racing engines live in a brutal environment. Sustained high RPM, extreme cylinder pressures, elevated temperatures, and shock-loading all conspire to break down oil film and accelerate wear on critical surfaces. A conventional motor oil, or even a standard synthetic, simply is not formulated to handle the thermal stress and mechanical shear that a dedicated racing application demands. DOMINATOR 10W-30 is purpose-built for that world.

RESISTS VISCOSITY LOSS UNDER MECHANICAL SHEAR
High-RPM operation and tight tolerances put enormous shearing forces on the oil film. If the oil thins out, bearing surfaces, cam lobes, and cylinder walls lose protection exactly when they need it most. DOMINATOR 10W-30 is engineered with a shear-stable synthetic formulation that maintains its viscosity grade throughout a race. At 100°C, it holds 11.4 cSt kinematic viscosity (ASTM D445), and its high-temperature/high-shear viscosity measures 3.7 cP at 150°C and 1.4 x 10⁶ s⁻¹ (ASTM D5481). That oil film stays intact under the conditions that actually matter.

HEAVILY FORTIFIED WITH ZINC AND PHOSPHORUS ANTI-WEAR ADDITIVES
Flat-tappet cams, aggressive valve springs, and high cylinder pressures all create metal-to-metal contact points where boundary lubrication is the last line of defense. DOMINATOR 10W-30 is loaded with zinc and phosphorus (ZDDP) anti-wear additives well beyond what you will find in passenger car motor oils, which have reduced ZDDP levels to protect catalytic converters. In ASTM D4172 four-ball wear testing at 40 kg, 150°C, and 1800 rpm for one hour, DOMINATOR 10W-30 produced a wear scar of just 0.39 mm. For asphalt late models, dirt late models, modified big blocks, sprint cars, and GM crate late model engines, this is the level of scuffing and wear protection that keeps parts alive.

PROPRIETARY FRICTION MODIFIER MAXIMIZES HORSEPOWER
Energy lost to internal friction is energy that never reaches the wheels. DOMINATOR 10W-30 is formulated with a proprietary friction modifier that reduces parasitic drag inside the engine, translating directly to more horsepower at the crank, cooler engine temperatures, and longer-lasting components. Less heat generated internally means the oil itself stays healthier through the duration of a race or qualifying session.

EXCELLENT COLD-START AND PRE-RACE PROTECTION
The multi-viscosity 10W-30 formulation gives DOMINATOR a significant advantage over straight-weight racing oils during warm-up. With a pour point of -42°C (-44°F) per ASTM D97 and a cold-cranking simulator viscosity of 5381 cP at -25°C (ASTM D5293), the oil flows quickly on startup and reduces drag before the engine reaches operating temperature. That matters during staging, warm-up laps, and cold morning qualifying sessions where a straight 30-weight would be sluggish and leave critical surfaces briefly unprotected.

THERMAL STABILITY AT EXTREME OPERATING TEMPERATURES
Racing engines regularly see oil temperatures that would overwhelm lesser formulations. DOMINATOR 10W-30 features thermally stable synthetic base stocks with a flash point of 228°C (442°F) and a fire point of 248°C (478°F), both measured per ASTM D92. A viscosity index of 156 (ASTM D2270) confirms the oil resists excessive thinning as temperatures climb. The total base number of 8.0 provides meaningful acid-neutralizing capacity throughout the oil's service life.

APPLICATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY
DOMINATOR 10W-30 is compatible with leaded and unleaded gasoline, diesel, alcohol, nitromethane, and nitrous oxide. It is designed for domestic and import high-performance racing engines where an SAE 30 viscosity is suitable, including asphalt late models, dirt late models, modified big block and small block engines, sprint cars, GM crate late model engines, and marine racing applications. This is the same formula used in AMSOIL corporately sponsored race vehicles, not a watered-down retail version.

SERVICE LIFE
DOMINATOR 10W-30 is formulated for racing and high-performance use. When competing, the vehicle owner is responsible for determining an appropriate oil service interval based on the event, application, and viscosity needs. DOMINATOR is not intended for long-term use in passenger cars or light trucks. Oil analysis through Oil Analyzers Inc.
