Cylinder temperatures in Milwaukee-Eight and Twin Cam Harley-Davidson engines routinely reach 300°F or higher, breaking down conventional oils into sludge and carbon deposits that rob compression and power. On top of that, the shared-sump design of most V-twins means your engine oil is also protecting transmission gears and a wet clutch, two jobs that create conflicting demands on the lubricant.

SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY
AMSOIL SAE 60 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil meets JASO MA/MA2, API SL, SG/CF/CG-4, and ISO-L-EMA2 specifications. It also satisfies SAE 90, API GL-1 gear oil requirements. Use in big-bore motorcycles that require SAE 60 motorcycle oil, including early-model Harley-Davidsons equipped with Knucklehead, Panhead, or Shovelhead engines, as well as Evo, Twin Cam, and Milwaukee-Eight models that call for SAE 60 viscosity. Compatible with other synthetic and conventional motor oils, though mixing will reduce performance benefits and extended drain capability. Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended.

SERVICE LIFE
Recommended for use up to twice the motorcycle manufacturer's recommended change interval (miles or hours) or one year, whichever comes first, in engines and transmissions. For Big Twin Harley-Davidson transmissions only, follow the Harley-Davidson recommended drain interval for synthetic oil of up to 20,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. When using an engine filter other than an AMSOIL Ea Motorcycle Oil Filter, change the filter at standard intervals. For off-road use, follow manufacturer-recommended intervals. Racing or modified engines are excluded from extended drain interval recommendations.
