On the hot side, its formulation delivers improved oxidation resistance compared to conventional diesel oils, helping maintain clean engine operation and consistent protection under sustained high-temperature loads. A High-Temperature/High-Shear viscosity of 2.78 cP (ASTM D5481) confirms the oil maintains adequate film strength at operating temperature, right where it matters most in loaded bearings and at the piston ring/cylinder wall interface.

MINIMIZES OIL CONSUMPTION
Low NOACK volatility is especially important in a 0W-20 grade, where lighter base oil fractions can burn off more readily. AMSOIL 0W-20 Synthetic Diesel Oil posts a NOACK volatility of 10.0% weight loss (ASTM D5800), helping reduce oil consumption between changes and limiting the amount of oil vapor entering the combustion chamber. Less burn-off also means the remaining oil in the sump retains its intended viscosity and additive concentration longer. This oil is safe for use with diesel emissions systems, including diesel particulate filters and selective catalytic reduction systems, with a sulfated ash content of 0.80 wt. %.

AMSOIL 0W-20 100% Synthetic Diesel Oil meets the GM dexosD specification, making it the correct choice for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 3.0L Duramax (LM2/LZ0), GMC Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax, and other GM vehicles requiring a dexosD-approved 0W-20 diesel oil. It is not intended for applications that require an API CK-4, SP, or earlier API diesel specification. It is compatible with conventional and synthetic oils, though mixing with other oils will reduce its performance benefits. Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils.

SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL 0W-20 100% Synthetic Diesel Oil is recommended for the drain intervals stated by the original equipment manufacturer. Refer to your owner's manual for the specific oil change interval. Intervals may be extended beyond the OEM recommendation with oil analysis. Change the oil filter at the time of each oil change.
